Lin-Manuel Miranda recognizes PRIME TIME

At the request of Lin-Manuel Miranda (of Hamilton and Moana fame), the United States Capitol Historical Society’s 2017 Freedom Award recipient, PRIME TIME will be honored on September 12th at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. Longtime storyteller, scholar, teacher, and PRIME TIME parent Natalie Williams will share her PRIME TIME story, as will Bill Goodman, Executive Director of Kentucky Humanities, another longtime host of PRIME TIME family reading and discussion programs.

Miranda joins past recipients of the Freedom Award including Congressman John Lewis, Cokie Roberts, and Jim Lehrer, among others. The LEH and PRIME TIME are grateful to Lin-Manuel Miranda for choosing to spotlight PRIME TIME and other nationwide humanities education programs working to provide citizens with access to the humanities.
