LEH Supports Ernest J. Gaines Center Summer Teacher Institute

An LEH Rebirth Grant supported the Second Annual Ernest J. Gaines Summer Teaching Institute, held June 8-12 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Ten teachers spent the week studying the life and work of the seminal Louisiana author. On June 10, the teachers and several LEH staffers visited Mr. Gaines at his home in Point Coupee Parish.
