Interested in applying for a grant?

The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities (LEH) is holding two free webinars for individuals and non-profit organizations interested in applying for a Rebirth Grant. The LEH, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, offers grants for public humanities programs, documentary photography and radio projects, digital humanities projects, assistance with publication projects, new and continuing scholarly research about Louisiana, and humanities-based educational initiatives.

Recent Rebirth Grant recipients include:

  • Union Museum of History and Art for a 5-week exhibit and panel discussion on the tradition of the Quincenera
  • The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council for the collection of an oral history of artist Don Cincone
  • The Iberia African American Historical Society for a symposium that will commemorate the 75th anniversary of a racial incident in Iberia Parish that led to a loss of all African American doctors in the parish
