The LEH Supports cultural efforts throughout the state by awarding grants to local cultural organizations and institutions. These awards support large and small scale humanities public programs from university events to those sponsored by museums, libraries, cultural centers and historical societies.

NOTE: In the wake of a devastating cut in state funds of $850,000 or 44%, to the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, LEH leadership announces the following unfortunate but necessary grant deadline cancellations:
Grant deadline cancellations for 2009-2010 include: • Outreach Grants – Sept. 15, Jan. 15, and March 15 • All 2009 Fall Public Humanities grants	Remaining grants deadlines: • Louisiana Publishing Initiative grants – Feb. 15.

All LEH deadlines are subject to the following rules: Grants must be received in the LEH offices by 5pm on the date specified.
If the deadline date falls on a holiday or weekend, applications must be received in the LEH offices by 5pm the next business day.
