Grants Program

The LEH supports cultural efforts throughout Louisiana by awarding grants to local cultural organizations and institutions. These awards support large and small-scale humanities public programs, from university events to those sponsored by museums, libraries, cultural centers and historical societies.

Beginning in 2012, drastic reductions in state funding forced the suspension of all LEH Grants deadlines for competitive grant cycles. Despite these cuts, the LEH continues to seek new ways to deliver the humanities to citizens throughout Louisiana while capitalizing on past partnerships to support new projects.

See below for previously available LEH grants. For further inquiries, contact LEH Director of Public Relations and Programs Brian Boyles.
