Ensemble Encore: The Acadian Memorial Multimedia Archive, an interactive website with information on Acadian settlers in Louisiana. Includes a searchable database of ship manifests, church records, and census data. Also includes a listing of land grant information in Acadiana, and essays about the Acadian diaspora.
Foundation for Historical Louisiana, a group dedicated to the history and culture of Louisiana, and to the preservation of historic structures.

The American Folklife Centerat the Library of Congress is a national center of folklife research & collection.
Center for the Study of Southern Culture, located at the University of Mississippi, focuses on multi-disciplinary study of the cultures of the southern United States.
Louisiana Folklife Centerat Northwestern State University has 800 artist and subject files, 1500 audio recordings, 100 video tapes, a small but growing print library of books and periodicals, and 5,000 still photographic images, all focused on the folklife of Louisiana.
Louisiana Folklife Program, within the Division of the Arts, is designed to identify, document, conserve, and present the folk cultural resources of Louisiana.
